A Legacy of Love, Sacrifice & Educational Vision

Discover the remarkable journey of Elder Abraham Attah Agada and Deaconess Mary Agada—two visionary educators whose life’s passion continues to empower children, families, and communities across Nigeria.

Honouring Two Outstanding Educators

The AMAgada Foundation was born out of a legacy of love, sacrifice, and an unwavering belief in the transformative power of education.

The Foundation honours the lives and vision of Elder Abraham Attah Agada and his beloved wife, Deaconess Mary Agada, two outstanding educators whose greatest passion was investing in people.

Opening Their Hearts and Home

Known affectionately as Teacher, Elder Agada dedicated his life to teaching, mentoring, and giving children a chance to succeed.

Together with Mary, he believed education should never be limited by a child’s background or financial circumstances. Long before they held leadership roles, they opened their home to eight children and have fostered more than 30 other children beyond their own, raising and educating them as family. To them, investing in children was investing in the future of the nation.

Nationwide Reach & Public Leadership

Their influence reached far beyond their home, transforming the lives of children across Plateau, Benue, Kogi, and beyond.

Through housing several children in their family home during their sojourn in several cities and towns in Nigeria, paying school fees for many children,, mentorship, encouragement, and opportunity, they helped countless young people become professionals and leaders who continue to shape society.

As Directors of Education in Government, Elder A. A. Agada and Mary Agada carried the same values into public service—integrity, excellence, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to developing people.

Preserving & Expanding the Legacy

The AMAgada Foundation, established by their children, carries forward the legacy of Elder and Mary Agada.

Inspired by their lifelong commitment to service and education, the Foundation creates opportunities for young people through education, mentorship, healthcare, leadership development, and community empowerment.

Their mission is simple but powerful: to change lives, break cycles of poverty, unlock potential, and build stronger communities—one child, one family, and one community at a time.

Our Vision & Call to Action

Empowering the Leaders of Tomorrow

Our story is more than a tribute to two remarkable lives. It is a call to continue their mission. Through partnerships, scholarships, educational programmes, healthcare and community initiatives, the AMAgada Foundation is committed to raising a new generation of empowered, ethical, and compassionate leaders who will transform their communities and the nation.

Our vision is simple: to ensure that no child is denied the opportunity to learn, grow, and fulfil their God-given potential because of circumstance.

"Their legacy is our mission. Their passion is our purpose."
